Kaykima Presents: Ladies Axe Workshop
11:00 - 2:30
25.00
Kaykima Wilderness Camps to present a workshop designed for beginners or intermediate level woodswomen.
March 10, 11:00 am to 2:30pm
Anyone who identifies as a lady in need of instruction in the art of chopping wood is welcome to attend. Rob will walk us through safety, technique and give us plenty of time to practice in a safe (as safe as it can be with axes flying!) space. We will share a meal cooked over the campfire and continue to chop as much wood as we can chop until it's time to go. There will be plenty of time for practice, questions and technique pointers. We will learn the difference between an axe and a hatchet, how to stand safely, proper chopping technique, de-branching (it's a thing!) and all sorts of other confidence building know-how. If you already have some of the basics mastered, there is always more to learn!
Located in Bragg Creek, AB.
If the weather is mean we will head inside for our meal and a warm-up. However, we do plan to spend the entire day outside if possible so please dress for the weather.
25.00 per participant.
Space is limited.
ADULTS ONLY. (16+)
